Did you know that in the past seven days, there has been 224 earthquakes? There are wars and rumors of war. There is famine and despair. It is hard not to believe that we will see End of Time during this generation. Perhaps there is something to this 2012 thing that seems to foretell that our days are certainly numbered.

Five days ago, without warning or forethought, Mother Earth shook, opened, and left nothing less than utter devastation, despair, and grief. All along her path, like a savaged and hungry beast, she swallowed her young, her elders, and her future. Was this land, in her mind, to become like Atlantis.

Dona Nobis Pacem: Grant Us Peace

A year ago...on one night...all around the world...the election of a man to the highest office in the land signaled a time for change and peace. Perhaps, these images may serve as a reminder of what is possible if we all join together in peace and love.

Sojourner's Place is please - no overjoyed - to participate in the Fifth Launch of BlogBlast For Peace! by Mimi Lenox of Mimi Writes, the Blogblast for Peace occurs twice a year and has as its mantra Dona Nobis Pacem that translates "Grant Us Peace".

Mimi's vision hope is:

She has a small birthmark on her left shin. SAD UPDATE: This Angel is presumed dead as a result of her 21 year old father throwing her from a bridge following a domestic violence event. Although her body has not yet been found, her father Shamsid-Din Abdur-Raheem, has confessed and is now in custody.
