When I and the rest of the world learned that Tiger Woods would make a statement regarding his infidelity, I was thoroughly pissed off! Hell! He's not the leader or would be leader of the Free World, or a governor gallivanting around the world on state funds to get a piece, or using his state-issued phone to have text-sex with someone other than his wife.
Tiger Woods is the most famous athlete in the world - but when Michael Jordan donned that title he didn't have to come on international television to make a statement regarding his infidelity when he was married to Juanita. Sure, Magic had to come out with a statement acknowledging that he'd cheated on Cookie - but he only did that because he had the AIDS virus. And Kobe did it because he was charged with rape. So, why Tiger? Could it be that the PGA is loosing money when he doesn't show up for a tournament? Maybe. But, I suspect that the main reason he has fallen out of grace has more to do with the complexion of his mate than anything else. But, that may be the subject of another post.
Anyway, my bottom line to the Tiger-saga is best described by the flowchart I received via email this morning. I think it pretty much says it all!
