Sojourner's I know it's been a long while since "my truth" has been spoken here. As we all know, however, sometimes life gets in the way of blogging just like blogging, sometimes, gets in the way of life. Both of these have been truisms for me over the last few months; and I had to take the time to refocus, regroup, and rearm. And as some of you know, I found myself dealing with my frustrations by "taking out" many an enemy on Facebook/Mafia Wars.Over the past couple of months, I've found myself in some very interesting - and often tenacious situations. Primarily occurring "on my side of the plantation". And Lord Knows, I've learned some things through it all!
I've learned that even though you might extend an olive branch, it does not have to be accepted. I've learned that you never know the influence you have on others and just how much they really care. I've learned that sometimes you just have to go into the abyss on pure faith! I've learned that Black folks can be simply AMAZING and that no matter how few we might be in numbers we can instigate much needed changes when we stick together. I've learned that when you don't think you have the strength to walk another step that a push comes out of the blue that gives you the strength to run a marathon.
Although the storm clouds are still somewhat overhead, I can see the ray of Son-light coming through; if not for me - for those who will follow. And for that, I am profoundly and humbly grateful!
So, for those who have missed old SjP's voice over the past several week, have no fear I ain't going nowhere...in fact, I'm on the COMEBACK! Cause, I got a whole lot to say about Tiger's dumb a$$!
