How to Solve the Immigration Problem in America

Use the Alphabet!

There is no doubt that many see illegal immigration as a huge problem in America today. And, surprising at it might be, I "understand" Arizona's desire to do something about it.

The Forgotten 5,000,000

The Holocaust claimed the life of nearly 6 million Jews. But, the stories of 5 million others goes virtually untold!

Much Obliged and Paying it Forward

This truth according to SjP for Sunday, July 12, 2009
I've been blogging about 18 months now, and Lawd knows Sojourner's Place has gone through several transitions during this time. There have been times when SjP's has consumed me so much to the point that maintaining here was all I found time to do. Then there have been times when I've asked myself why I continue. But, in those times, I think about how in so many ways that SjP's has been a part of something more than a place where I can vent.

I am grateful for the ability to connect with so many out here in the blogosphere. I am encouraged by the campaigns for social change and action in which I have been involved and hopefully make a difference. And I have truly been blessed to meet some amazing people because the doors of SjP's are open.

While I may not be able to post as much - I ain't going nowhere! I'm going to stay right here speaking the truth according to SjP for as long as ya'll want to read it ::smile::.

So, it is fitting that I give a "Much Obliged! Very Much Obliged" to some very special Sojourners who are sources of encouragement and support to me. Ya'll keep me going in so many ways, and I am so happy to pass The Emblem of the Helping Hand to you for all you do for me.

Ms Lady Deborah of From My Brown Eyed View: Deborah is my cyber twin. Ya'll would not believe just how much we have in common. Except for a small age difference, I would swear we were separated at birth. We are very much alike and that is often reflected in our posts. Love Ya, Twin!

Village of Electronic Village: There is much I could say about the Villager. But, suffice it to say that Sojourner's Place did not open at this dot com address until he cut the ribbon.

Regina of Regina's Family Seasons: Regina continues to be a source of inspiration. I so appreciate her and am in awe with her openness about her life and family. She inspires me to carry on in so many ways.

Ms. Marva of Conversations With Marva: Ms Marva! What can I say except she know she 'my girl'. Pretty sure she knows that because she let me give her a nickname that only I can call her! LOL!

The Griper of Just a Man with His Thoughts: Ours is a very strange blogging relationship. Not sure we agree on much except maybe music. But, he ALWAYS challenges me and for that I am most grateful. "I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong". (She smiles - genuinely)

Professor Tracey of Aunt Jemima's Revenge: When I first started blogging, I found this spot and then lost it because I had no idea about to to subscribe or link to feeds. Thank goodness I found it again. I am jealous of love Professor Tracey's cut to the chase style. And I have to admit, that I admired her style so much that I kind of copied it a bit on my profile. Remember Prof T, imitation is the greatest form of flattery ::smile::.

RiPPa of The Intersection of Madness and Reality: I have watched and read RiPPa from afar never thinking that SjP's was even on his radar. There are some bloggers that whose league we all wish to be in, and RiPPa's spot is one of such blogs for me. So imagine my surprise when he asked me to be a write a piece for his spot! All I can say is that I nearly had to get the mop!

Revvy Rev of The Certain Sound: Revvy Rev is one of those preachers who doesn't always tell you what you want to hear. But, he always tells you the truth. Rev helped me get through a very hard time recently - because he told me the truth. Still got that guard on my mouth. Seems to be working! LOL

Nordette of Whose shoes are these anyway?: "Met" sister Nordette a couple of months ago. WOW!!! Somehow this brilliant sister found SjP's and she continues to drop by. I am so inspired by her prolific and detailed writings which are equally matched by her beautiful poems. More times than not, I find that Nordette has put into eloquent words full of imagery and emotion what I feel in my heart.

The U of Any way I have to: Sometimes you run across a poem, a painting, or even a scene in a movie or television show that simply moves your very soul. Sometimes it moves you to laugh or sometimes to cry. Sometimes it causes you to look inward to examine who and what you are. And then you find "Any Way I Have To" by The U.

Much obliged to each of you and I truly hope that you will accept this Emblem in the spirit in which it is given.

For the origin of Emblem, go here.

Much Obliged...
Very Much Obliged to you for hearing me ~ ~
