We've heard it for years. Sometimes, some of us even say it. We call it a "term of endearment". We say it's not denigrating for us to use it when we are addressing one another. But, yet if someone of a different hue calls us one, we're ready to fight to the death.I suspect, that using the 'n-word' will forever be debated among us. But when listening to 10 year old Johnathan McCoy break it down, I don't think that there is one legitimate argument for its continued use by African Americans. As it has been said, "out of the mouths of babes".
